A great job!

A difficult job involving new flue liners as well as sealing existing liners. Also dismantling and rebuilding midfeathers in a 3 storey building and providing a matching chimney pot and replacing a fireback. All expertly and efficiently done. Everything completed as promised with a minimum of mess. A great job fellas!

Simply the best!

SPECIALIST CHIMNEY SERVICES were recommended to me by my brother who had used their services in the past. After having accepted a fair and reasonable quote, John Alderson of Specialist Chimney Services and his team Steve and Mikey removed my old fireplace, repaired the chimney feathers, re-lined the chimney, replaced the cracked chimney pot and fitted a fabulous new multi fuel log burner on a black limestone hearth.

Their attention to detail was second to none and it was a delight to have such professionals working in my home. All debris was cleared as they worked and when the project was completed. I will certainly be in contact for my annual chimney sweep. I cannot recommend you and your team highly enough!
Thank you very much.

I would just like to say that John and his guys from specialist chimney services carried out a first class job for me.
First of all John came along and assessed the work scope. We had a chat about the options that were available to me. We agreed on which was my best option.
I then received a quote for the agreed work. John and his team turned up on time and with all the equipment necessary to complete the work. I feared that it would be a dirty job so I covered up a lot of furniture and carpets prior to them arriving. These guys proceeded to go through each room concerned and put further dust covers onto everything. They even put a plastic cover / lining up the staircase.
John stated that the job would take a maximum of two days, it was completed in one and a half. Albeit that it is a dirty job dealing with chimneys, the guys kept the disruption to a minimum. The guys were very professional and polite.
I guess that I am like most people and are skeptical about getting people into my home to do work. I would recommend these guys and I wouldn’t hesitate to ask them to do future work.

‘My advice would be: listen to John – there is nothing he doesn’t know about chimneys, fires, log burners, etc. He has given me great advice on several occasions, and he and his team fitted a log burner with minimum disruption and mess, and at a very good price, all fully guaranteed. I am totally delighted, and would recommend this company without reservation.

John visted the job and after a thorough investigation immediately diagnosed the problem which had been missed by others. The repair was undertaken by John and his team in a very professional manner – no mess and completed same day, saving me 75% against alternative quotes. First class job, cant recommend them highly enough.

John’s technical advice and knowledge was excellent and reassuring from the outset. The installation (a concrete flu/lining in a very old property) was completed within the time estimated and exactly as described. John and his team were extremely well organised and very efficient, getting on with the job. Inevitably, the work was messy (e.g. removing and replacing random building stones for access) but the team covered floors etc and cleaned thoroughly after completion. We are very satisfied with the finished job.

John Alderson and co of Chimneys North East relined two flues in our Victorian home in Middleton St George. This team worked incredibly hard and we were very impressed with their progress and the quality of the finished job.

Anyone planning on getting their flues relined must understand that it is a messy job and there will be dust and disruption inside the house, but these guys minimised this as far as they possibly could; sheeting all areas and taping plastic right to the edges of the rooms involved. They left the place far tidier than many other firms we have had in and that makes a big difference when you’re living through a refurbishment with a six-month old baby!

We would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone!
